Steel
William Hare’s production facilities blend the very latest manufacturing technology for fast-flow production with experienced fabrication skills. This broad range of capabilities allows the Group to offer high-integrity fabricated steel at highly competitive rates through to complex bespoke fabrications of extreme size, shape or weight.
All production facilities make use of the latest plant equipment, including high-speed drill lines, plasma cutters and automated layout marking PeddiWriters. The plant is driven via Raptor software, which reads data directly from the 3D model. This approach significantly streamlines the process flow in comparison with traditional approaches and ensures the careful management of revisions.
A system of barcodes is used to track all individual items through all stages of the production process. Full batch material traceability is offered as standard for all projects. Records are maintained via the Workshop Operational System (WOS) module of HDS; thereby ensuring the quality documentation is acquired progressively for expedient hand-over to the client. These systems ensure that William Hare is set-up to undertake the most complex projects, such as nuclear and fatigue-resistant structures to CE Marking Execution Class 4.
